Spencer-Clarke's offer a range of self-led tours from a one day
getaway,
to a full seven days, whatever suits you the customer.
We supply all the equipment you need including suggested
routes with maps.
From our touring base at Vicarage Farm, Lower Quinton on the North Cotswold border
near Stratford Upon Avon Warwickshire, we can provide your first nights accommodation and advance book any other accommodation
you need for your cycling tour.
You can also use Vicarage Farm Bed and Breakfast
as a base for several days individual tours.

Here is a way to spend a day.
A 20 mile day ride from your base in Lower Quinton .
A glorious and at times demanding cycle ride which in one day will give you
a real taste of what the North Cotswold's has have to offer.
Hidcote and Kiftsgate
Your first port of call after about 3 miles is the world famous gardens
of Hidcote and kiftsgate. Stop here and spend as long as you like enjoying
both
of these outstanding National Trust gardens.

An unhurried lunch
Leave in time for a 45 minutes ride to the lively but unspoilt, ancient
wool town (now just a large village) of Chipping Campden.
Noted for its fine Cotswold architecture,
small and attractive shops offer a range of interesting local crafts and
produce.
The village is full of history and character, it possess several fine pubs
and restaurants.
Ideal places to have an unhurried lunch, or just to sample the local beer.
Spectacular Views
The second part of your tour will mean spending a bit more
time in the saddle.
On quiet lanes and tracks you will travel about 12 miles through
some of the Cotswold's unspoilt villages. The route has a few steep sections,
but will provide you with some of the most spectacular views
to be found rural England.

modern farming economy. See working rural life as you cycle on your
way.
A refreshing glass of local ale
After all this action you only have 2 to 3 miles to travel down hill
back to our base at Lower Quinton before handing in your cycles
(and booking another tour)

village pub, the famous College Arms.
